Polyphonic Interlace
is a symphonious, surround-sound performance conceived and composed by
Raquel Acevedo Klein that will take place at Little Island on
August 29th at 12pm and
September 4th at 12pm. The music invites you to travel amidst a sea of voices, emerging from several directions. Raquel will provide a countdown at the start of the event and invite the audience to play parts of the piece from their phones simultaneously.
Each track has been pre-recorded by Raquel, who as a singer, weaves her own voice into a polyphonic tapestry of stories from across New York City at the cusp of reopening. All are welcome to play parts of the music from a smartphone.
