DoubleHalf Privacy Policy

DoubleHalf (“the app”), a double exposure half-frame film camera emulator, is built and operated by Brian Ellis (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the app handles data. The short version: it doesn’t.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts, and does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, or microphone. We receive no information about you or your device.
The camera
The app uses the rear camera to take photographs. That is its entire purpose. Camera frames are processed on your device, combined into a finished picture, and handed to your photo library. They are never uploaded, never sent to us, and never shown to anyone but you.
Your photos
The app asks for permission to add photos to your library, so it can save the pictures you take. It only ever adds. It does not request permission to read your library, and cannot see photographs you took with any other app.
Stored on your device
The app remembers your settings — the flash, double exposure, and which film is loaded — using your device’s standard local storage. That stays on your device and is erased if you delete the app.
Network access
The app does not connect to the internet. It does not load remote content, send analytics, fetch ads, or contact any server. There is nowhere for your data to go.
Third parties
None. No third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising networks, crash reporters, or external services of any kind.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data at all, it collects none from children, and so complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date. Material changes will not be made retroactive.
