Created in the Spring of 2022 as a reaction to the over-processed, over-stylized, and unethically sourced images being created by leading AI modeling teams (Dall-E, Stable Diffusion, etc.) “Untitled Hallucinations (on Deep Field)” is a response envisioning what hyper-personalized AI re-stylization might look like for a curated individual’s exploration. Trained solely off of NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope’s “Deep Field” image, this AI has only ever seen the stars, galaxies, and nebulae of our distant universe. With no knowledge of humanity or our grounding here on Earth, these hallucinations imagine the night sky through the eyes of one that has only ever seen the dark.
